Just call this image a phase. I made the alien creature by multi-replicating a bunch of different hi-resolution symetrical lattices. I needed some kind of setting for this thing and you see the result. I sprayed red paint all over the Poser 3 nude male texture map in Photoshop until I was satisfied it was gory enough. The splattereing bits are three different versions of the volumetric preset "red corpuscles" applied to three seperate cones. I played with the frequency and color settings till I had one cone for the splattered blood, one for the larger bits of organic matter, and one for the larger bits of skull. The red light is the Bryce sun with a red filter applied to it and placed behind the cones.
