

Still obsessed with the idea of making curving shapes, I started playing with the multi-replication function as a way to extrude a cross sectional shape through three dimensions. The technique is described in Susan Kitchen's book Real World Bryce 2. I started with a single torus and made all these ribbed, tube-like objects. I needed some image to integrate them into and when all else fails, look to H.R. Giger for inspiration. The other objects were again modeled in the Terrain Editor.
